Ommegang Raspberry Falls is the next beer in Brewery Ommegang‘s Falls fruit series, and it’s a lager. The label, shared by MyBeerBuzz on Oct. 30, calls it a “lager with raspberry” at 6.0% ABV in 12-ounce cans. The Cooperstown, New York, brewery hasn’t announced a release date, price or distribution yet.
So for now, the label is all there is. Here’s what it says, how Raspberry Falls fits with the rest of the Falls lineup, and the one beer you shouldn’t confuse it with.
Ommegang Raspberry Falls: what the label says
According to the label text published by MyBeerBuzz, the can reads “RASPBERRY FALLS,” “LAGER WITH RASPBERRY,” “6.0% ALC BY VOL” and “12 FL OZ.” It also says “BREWED AND PACKAGED BY BREWERY OMMEGANG, COOPERSTOWN, NY · KANSAS CITY, MO.”
The artwork shows a waterfall in a wooded mountain setting, with a large cluster of raspberries in the foreground and a gold circle behind the falls, set against a blue and burgundy diamond pattern. The banner across the middle repeats “Lager with Raspberry.”
MyBeerBuzz notes that the brewery hasn’t shared tasting notes, details about the raspberry ingredients or a description of the brewing process. We haven’t found any on Ommegang’s site either, so we’ll leave the flavor talk for when the brewery provides it.
Ommegang Raspberry Falls vs. Raspberry Lemon Falls
Don’t mix this one up with Raspberry Lemon Falls. That’s a different beer: a 5.5% Belgian-style witbier with raspberries and fresh lemon, co-fermented with Ommegang’s classic witbier, which the brewery lists as a Spring 2024 release in 16-oz cans and on draft. Raspberry Falls drops the lemon and the witbier base and goes with a lager instead, at 6.0%.
How it fits the Falls series
Ommegang’s Falls beers have so far been fruit-forward and light in style. Here’s how the new label compares with the Falls beers listed on the brewery’s site.
| Beer | Style | ABV | Formats listed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raspberry Falls (new) | Lager with raspberry | 6.0% | 12-oz cans (per label) |
| Raspberry Lemon Falls | Witbier with raspberry and lemon | 5.5% | 16-oz cans, four-packs, draft |
| Blueberry Falls | Kölsch with blueberry, lemon peel and butterfly pea flower | 6.0% | 16-oz cans |
| Melon Falls | Watermelon Kölsch | 6.0% | 16-oz cans, four-packs, draft |

Two things stand out. Raspberry Falls is the first lager in this group; the others are a witbier and two Kölsches. It’s also listed in a 12-ounce can, while the earlier Falls beers list 16-ounce cans. Ommegang hasn’t said whether a pack size or draft version is planned.
What we don’t know yet
- Release date: not announced
- Price: not announced
- Distribution: not announced
- Pack size: not stated beyond the 12-oz can
- Tasting notes: none published
Label-first news like this is common. Breweries often finalize artwork well ahead of release, and details follow later. We covered another raspberry beer that surfaced this way this month, Founders Blushing Monk in 12-oz cans.
FAQ
A lager joins the Falls

Not to be confused with the 5.5% Raspberry Lemon Falls witbier. We’ll update when Ommegang sends word from Cooperstown.
