Evil Twin Cuvée de Candy Bars Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout Heads to 12-oz Cans

Evil Twin Cuvée de Candy Bars Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout Heads to 12-oz Cans

Evil Twin Cuvée de Candy Bars is going into cans. Evil Twin Brewing NYC of Ridgewood, Queens, has 12-ounce can label art for Barrel-Aged Cuvée de Candy Bars, an imperial stout brewed with banana and conditioned on chocolate, coconut, cocoa and vanilla, according to MyBeerBuzz.

There’s a wrinkle in the numbers. The new can label says 14.8% ABV. Evil Twin’s own beer page says 13%. Neither source explains the gap, so we’re showing both rather than guessing.

The brewery page lists marshmallow; the can doesn’t. The page may describe an earlier batch or blend, but neither source says so. The label also carries a “Keep refrigerated + drink fresh” line.

When can you get it?

Nobody has said. MyBeerBuzz’s report has no release date, price or distribution plan, and says those details shouldn’t be guessed. We agree, Earthlings. Evil Twin pours at its Ridgewood brewery at 1616 George St. and its taproom at 43 Main St. in DUMBO, Brooklyn, so those are the places to watch.

Right on time for stout season

Big barrel-aged stouts tend to pile up on shelves in late fall, and our Black Friday barrel-aged stout guide tracks what’s actually confirmed this year. Evil Twin hasn’t tied Evil Twin Cuvée de Candy Bars to Black Friday or any other date.

Fun fact from the archive: Evil Twin and Jester King go back a ways. In 2019, Jester King released Even More Metal, a collaboration with Evil Twin, at its Doom Forge Day. We’ll update this post when Evil Twin Cuvée de Candy Bars cans get a date.

Transmission complete.
