Black Friday Barrel-Aged Stout Season 2026: What Is Actually Confirmed

Black Friday Barrel-Aged Stout Season 2026: What Is Actually Confirmed

Black Friday barrel-aged stout season is coming, and three big releases are confirmed for 2026. Goose Island releases its 2026 Bourbon County Brand lineup on Black Friday, Nov. 27. Lakefront Brewery has four Black Friday 2026 beers in label filings. Three Floyds’ Dark Lord XXX starts reaching stores Oct. 26. This guide sticks to what each brewery or a named source has announced.

Goose Island Bourbon County Brand 2026

Goose Island says the 2026 Bourbon County Brand lineup comes out on Black Friday, Nov. 27. According to Beverage Information Group, it has six beers:

  • Bourbon County Brand Original Stout, 14.2% ABV, aged an average of 13 months in Buffalo Trace, Heaven Hill, Four Roses and Wild Turkey barrels (per Goose Island)
  • Tiramisu Cask Finish Stout
  • Apple Crisp Stout
  • Toasted Barrel Rye Stout
  • Triple Oak Barleywine
  • Proprietor’s Stout, Chicago market only

Lakefront Brewery Black Friday 2026

Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee has four Black Friday 2026 beers, all shown in 19.2-ounce cans, according to MyBeerBuzz:

  • Black Friday 2026 Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels
  • Black Friday 2026 Imperial Coffee and Cacao Nib Stout aged in bourbon barrels
  • Black Friday 2026 Triple Black IPA
  • Black Friday 2021–2026 Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels for five years

Hop Grail’s TTB records show the labels approved Oct. 16. They do not list ABVs, and Lakefront has not published a release date, price or distribution plan. The name suggests a Black Friday launch, but the Bureau has not seen a Black Friday barrel-aged stout release date confirmed by Lakefront.

Three Floyds Dark Lord XXX

Three Floyds calls Dark Lord XXX a 14.5% bourbon barrel-aged variant of its imperial stout. It is the first Dark Lord sold at retail, in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles. The brewery released a small amount at its Munster, Indiana, kiosk on Oct. 24 and says retail stores across most of its markets get it starting Oct. 26. Brewbound reported about 23 states, including draft accounts. Dark Lord XXX is not tied to Black Friday, but it will be on shelves during Black Friday barrel-aged stout season.

Planning your Black Friday barrel-aged stout run

A Black Friday barrel-aged stout hunt goes better with a plan. A few practical tips:

  • Call your bottle shop ahead of time. Many shops take preorders or set per-customer limits, and those rules differ by store.
  • Check the store’s pickup window. Some shops only hold preorders for a day or two.
  • Go to the brewery’s own pages for the official lineup. Rumored variants often never appear.
  • Skip Chicago-only beers like Proprietor’s Stout if you don’t live in that market.
  • Store bottles upright and cool, and remember these beers are 14% ABV or close to it. Share them.
