Missouri and Michigan have big ones lined up, plus a vanilla stout from Maine, starting with Side Project Brewing‘s 10th Beer : Barrel : Time, whose preorders opened Nov. 1, according to St. Louis Magazine. Griffin Claw’s Flying Buffalo lands Nov. 14 and Maine Beer Co.’s Mean Old Tom returns Nov. 18.

Side Project Beer : Barrel : Time 2026
The 10th BBT blends four stout recipes, O.W.K., Vibes, Omega and Threnody II, aged 17 to 37 months in barrels that held Willett Family Estate Bourbon, Willett Bourbon, Wild Turkey 8 Year, Artifact and Four Roses 10 Year. As always, it has no adjuncts. The release package also includes Rye Beer : Barrel : Time 2026 and Oude Fermier from Pinot Noir Puncheons Vintage 2025. Preorders opened at 10 a.m. on Nov. 1, and bottle pickup in Maplewood starts Black Friday, Nov. 27. The Cellar’s 12th anniversary on Nov. 5 offers an early taste. Pricing and bottle limits hadn’t been announced.
Griffin Claw Flying Buffalo 2026
Griffin Claw releases four 12% Flying Buffalo variants at noon on Saturday, Nov. 14, at both its Birmingham and Rochester Hills taprooms: Original, Irish Coffee Cream, Samoa Cookie and Tres Leche. All are on tap and in 4-packs of 12-ounce cans. The brewery says quantities are limited and sales are first come, first served, with a small run of limited-edition glassware.
Maine Beer Co. Mean Old Tom
Maine Beer Co. brings back Mean Old Tom on Wednesday, Nov. 18. The brewery calls it “our stout aged on natural vanilla beans,” so it isn’t barrel-aged, but it’s a November stout release worth knowing. Bottles and nitro draft are sold at the Freeport tasting room, and draft also goes out to distribution.
Planning your stout hunt
Side Project runs on preorders, Griffin Claw is first come, first served, and Maine Beer is a tasting-room release. Each one rewards a different kind of planning. Check each brewery’s page before you travel, because limits and prices can change on release day.
