WeldWerks Dad Tax is headed for 16-ounce cans. WeldWerks Brewing Co. of Greeley, Colorado, and North Carolina’s HopFly Brewing Company have an 8.2% hazy double IPA called Dad Tax, according to can label art posted Oct. 29 by MyBeerBuzz.
A label is all we have so far. It gives no release date, no distribution details and no hop bill, and MyBeerBuzz says those details are still to come.

The art is a bright orange-and-yellow can with a giant illustrated hot dog and “Dad Tax” across it. Under that sits the line every snack-sampling father on Earth has used: “Just makin’ sure it’s not poison.” The can also carries WeldWerks’ “Dialed-In Beer” tagline and a blunt “Keep cold drink now.”
Haven’t people already had Dad Tax?
Some have, it seems, from the North Carolina side. Hop Grail lists a HopFly Dad Tax can label approved July 15, 2026, at HopFly’s Charlotte address, at 8%. Untappd shows Dad Tax check-ins under HopFly’s name, listed at 8.2%, going back to at least late August.
The new label says “Brewed & Canned by WeldWerks” in Greeley, so this looks like WeldWerks’ own run of the collaboration. We haven’t seen either brewery confirm that, and the hop lists posted for the HopFly version don’t match each other, so we’re not printing one. About the brewers
WeldWerks has been brewing in Greeley since 2015 and had a big year at the 2026 Colorado Brewers Cup. HopFly has taprooms in Charlotte and Rocky Mount, North Carolina. We’ll report when WeldWerks Dad Tax gets a release date. Until then, guard your fries.
