Yellow Springs Brewery is dimming one Columbus docking bay, but the home planet keeps brewing. The brewery is closing its Clintonville Taproom + Kitchen at 2855 Indianola Ave. in Columbus on Wednesday, Dec. 23, Columbus Underground reported. The production brewery, flagship taproom and Barrel Room in Yellow Springs will stay open.
The brewery announced the closure on social media. 614NOW and Columbus Business First also reported it.
Yellow Springs Brewery in Columbus: a short history
The Clintonville spot opened in 2023 in the former home of The Crest, which closed that year. The brewery was founded in 2013 by Nate Cornett and Lisa Wolters and opened its Barrel Room in 2021.
What the brewery said
“We have truly loved and enjoyed being a part of the neighborhood for the last three years,” the brewery wrote, adding that it will keep bringing its beer to Dayton and Columbus. “We’ll be here for the next seven weeks.”
Fans can still buy the beer after the Columbus taproom closes, 614NOW notes, because the main taproom and production brewery in Yellow Springs are not going anywhere.
Until the closure, Columbus Underground lists the taproom’s hours as Monday–Friday 3–10 p.m., Saturday noon–10 p.m. and Sunday noon–8 p.m.
