Huff Brewing Co. in Bellville, Texas, Closing Dec. 31

A sad signal just came in from the Texas prairie: Huff Brewing is setting its tap handles to power down for good. The Bellville, Texas, brewery will close on Dec. 31, 2026, after its ownership team voted to wind down, KHOU reported. No reason was given.

The brewery, now on Bellville’s square (the Houston Chronicle lists 11 E. Main St.), plans events, beer releases and merch over the final two months.

How Huff Brewing got here

KHOU traces the story from Friday-night parties in a pasture to an old country taproom, then the move to Bellville’s square. Along the way, Huffmeister kegs went to local fundraisers.

The farewell message

“It’s been a wild ride, but it’s been a good one,” the brewery wrote on Facebook. “Help us go out with a bang–see y’all soon!”

Before the Dec. 31 last call

If Bellville is within driving range, you have until New Year’s Eve. Watch the brewery website and its social pages for the final release and event schedule. For more of this year’s closures, see Black Market Brewing and Mile Wide Beer Co..

Transmission complete.
