The Endeavor Brewing taproom closing in Columbus is set: Endeavor Brewing & Spirits will close its Grandview-area taproom at 909 W. Fifth Ave. to the public after Thursday, Oct. 29. The company announced the news on Instagram on Oct. 22, as reported by the Columbus Dispatch.
Endeavor Brewing taproom closing details
Columbus Business First reported Oct. 23 that Oct. 29 will be the last day of business for the West Fifth Avenue taproom, and its headline says the spot is closing “after nearly 10 years.”
According to a weekly roundup from Craft Beer Critics, Business First and 614NOW reported two more points:
- The Fifth Avenue space will still host private events through the holidays.
- Endeavor’s Barrel & Bloom location in Linworth stays open.
A note on sourcing
Both the Dispatch and Business First stories are behind paywalls, and the Bureau could read only the Business First summary. The private-events and Barrel & Bloom details come from the Craft Beer Critics summary of those reports, not from our own reading of the full articles. Endeavor has not said why it is closing the taproom in anything we could access.
What it means for Columbus drinkers
The public can still visit the Grandview taproom through Oct. 29. After that, Barrel & Bloom in Linworth is the place to find Endeavor. Anyone planning a holiday party at the old space should contact Endeavor directly.
This Endeavor Brewing taproom closing is one of several this fall. Recent examples include Whims Brewing in New Jersey and the 51 North taproom in Nashville.
