Tröegs Blizzard of Hops is back for winter 2026. Tröegs Independent Brewing in Hershey, Pennsylvania, announced the return of the 6.4% ABV winter IPA with new blue and purple can art, according to a release published by MyBeerBuzz.
Inside Tröegs Blizzard of Hops
Tröegs says the beer combines Centennial, Chinook, El Dorado and Galaxy hops on a base of pilsner malt and wheat. The brewery credits that hop mix with notes of spruce tips, pineapple and orange rind. Those are Tröegs’ descriptions; the Bureau has not tasted this year’s batch.
Brewmaster and co-founding brother John Trogner calls it “a wildly popular winter seasonal for us, especially in our home state of Pennsylvania.” He adds: “It’s the perfect beer to drink while you’re shoveling snow.”
A new look
Designer Rachel Conville did the new label. “The glowing blue and purple colors really capture the spirit of winter,” she says, adding that “the bold font is much easier to read, making it stand out on beer shelves.”
Where to find it

Notes and uncertainties
The recipe being unchanged comes from MyBeerBuzz’s summary (“keeps the familiar recipe intact”); the quoted Tröegs release does not say it outright. The release says the beer debuted “more than a decade ago” but gives no year. No exact release date is given for the winter variety pack.
Graffiti Highway Double IPA, also in that pack, was covered when Tröegs moved it into 12-oz cans. Tröegs Blizzard of Hops remains its longest-running seasonal IPA, the brewery says.
