10 Barrel Mostly Down and Ommegang Citrette: Label Watch

10 Barrel Mostly Down and Ommegang Citrette: Label Watch

Label Watch, the Bureau’s least glamorous and most addictive surveillance program, has two new cans on the scanner this week.

10 Barrel Mostly Down is a 6.1% ABV Hopburst Northwest IPA in 12-ounce cans, Earthlings, and it shares the tray with Brewery Ommegang Citrette, a 3.8% Belgian-style ale with lemon. Both come from label art posted by MyBeerBuzz. Neither brewery has announced a release date.

10 Barrel Mostly Down

The label reads “Mostly Down Hopburst Northwest IPA, India Pale Ale, 6.1% Alc by Vol., 12 fl oz.” MyBeerBuzz places it in 10 Barrel’s All Ways Down family. The art shows a forested mountain scene with evergreens, a pickup truck, bikes and a hammock.

No hop varieties, IBUs or tasting notes have been released for 10 Barrel Mostly Down, so the Bureau has none to give you.

Brewery Ommegang Citrette

Per MyBeerBuzz, the Cooperstown, N.Y., brewery’s can calls Citrette a “Belgian-Style Ale with Lemon” and “Honey Conditioned,” at 3.8% ABV in 12-ounce cans. That is light for a Belgian-style ale.

Caveats

These details are secondhand, from label images MyBeerBuzz credits to each brewery. A label is not a launch. Recipes, names and timing can still change, as with The Bruery Vanilla Rain, which is also known so far only from its label. When either beer gets a date, the Bureau will let you know.

Transmission complete. Keep scanning those shelves.
