North Coast Brewing Co. has a new CEO. The Fort Bragg brewery behind Old Rasputin announced Wednesday, Nov. 4, that Daniel G. Lee has succeeded Jennifer Owen, who said earlier this year that she plans to retire, the North Bay Business Journal reported (published in The Press Democrat). Lee started in October.
Who is North Coast Brewing’s new CEO?
Lee brings more than 20 years of leadership in brewing, consumer products and consulting, according to the company. He founded Seattle’s Odin Brewing Co. in 2009 and ran it through 2023, according to his LinkedIn profile. He has also held leadership roles at Miller Brewing Co., Philips’ Sonicare division and SC Johnson, and most recently was principal consultant at Strong Consulting Partners.
“Together, we will build on the company’s strong foundation, pursue new opportunities, and continue delivering outstanding products and experiences for our customers, employees, partners, and shareholders,” Lee said in the announcement.
Jennifer Owen’s run as CEO
Owen became North Coast’s first female CEO in January 2022, after serving as interim CEO from October 2021. She was previously the brewery’s chief financial officer and kept both roles.
