Delaware-headquartered Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant announces the opening of their third location in the Diamond State’s Rehoboth area. Located on Route 1 at 19815 Coastal Highway, the opening plays a significant role in the company’s aggressive 20 by 20 expansion plans and marks the 14th Restaurant and Brewery for the award-winning group.
Operating Monday to Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and located adjacent to the Tanger Outlets, the 425-seat restaurant will employ roughly 100 full and part time staff. Designed by Bray Architecture, it includes an on-site brewing facility with a capacity of 900 barrels per year, al fresco dining and will remain open for the entire season, providing both beach-goers and locals with a new, casual and fun dining destination. Seasonal beers are being brewed on site, including the Breakwater IPA, which is unique to the Rehoboth location. This 5.0% ABV IPA has crisp notes of citrus fruits in the flavor and aroma, making it the perfect beach beer.
Iron Hill Rehoboth, which shares the overall mission since founders Kevin Finn, Mark Edelson and Kevin Davies opened the first Iron Hill in Newark, DE in 1996, promises to bring the same craft beer freshness such as the award-winning signature Vienna Red™Lager and deliciously unrefined and wholesome fare including the Brewski Burger ($13.50), Gold Medal Baby Back Ribs ($17.00/$25.00), Char-Grilled Ribeye Steak ($29.00) and Pan Roasted Organic Chicken ($21.00). The restaurant will also include seasonal craft beers and menu items to reflect the local flavor of the beach community including the Breakwater IPA, Baked Eastern Shore Crab Cakes ($27.00) and Hand-Cut Belgian-Style Fries ($8.00).
As part of their philanthropic efforts and as a commitment to the local community, Iron Hill is collaborating with Children’s Beach House to donate $0.75 from each Triple Chocolate Hill dessert sold in order to help children with special needs reach their highest potential as functioning members of their families and communities.
“Opening in Rehoboth and offering our trademark hospitality to the area means a great deal to the Iron Hill family,” explains Co-Founder Kevin Finn. “We obviously have always had strong ties to our home state and this new initiative reinforces that ideal even further.”
About Iron Hill
Named after the historic Revolutionary War landmark in Delaware, where General George Washington battled the British, Iron Hill is among the most enduringly successful craft brewers in the United States. Their 21-year consecutive winning streak of winning medals at national and international competitions is the longest by any craft brewery.
Founded by homebrewers Kevin Finn, Mark Edelson and restaurateur Kevin Davies in Newark, DE in 1996, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant has blossomed from one restaurant and brewery to 14 locations up and down the East Coast, including Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and South Carolina. Each brewery/restaurant has their own craft kitchen and scratch brewery, allowing individual chefs and brewers the creativity to pair the freshest ingredients with the highest quality grains and hops. For 21 years, Iron Hill has incorporated beer in everything they do. As a result, Finn, Edelson and Davies are viewed as innovative business leaders in their home state of Delaware and in the Mid-Atlantic region. They started Iron Hill at a time when small breweries were just beginning to gain mass appeal around the country and their entrepreneurial, forward-thinking helped build them into what they are to date. Each individual location has their own head brewer. Each location dedicates itself to the freshest ingredients and friendly atmosphere for all age groups – helping change overall perceptions about brewpubs one meal, one pint, one community at a time.
