The 17th annual Detroit Fall Beer Festival is happening today, Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Detroit’s historic Eastern Market. The Michigan Brewers Guild says nearly 90 member breweries are pouring samples of more than 450 beers across 80-plus styles.

Wrestling, music and food

International Bigtime Wrestling has four 30-minute exhibition matches in Shed 5, at 1:15, 2:30, 3:45 and 5 p.m. Shed 5 also has Konrand Lee, billed as “Lounge Singer Extraordinaire.” On the Main Stage, Theo Gridiron and Friends play from 1:30 to 3 p.m., and Audrey Ray plays from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Food is sold by Detroit-area vendors Yellow Dog Craft BBQ, Señors, Guy’s Pizza, Pietrzyk Pierogi and Fire and Rice.

How the Detroit Fall Beer Festival grew

The Guild’s first event at Eastern Market was in 2009, with just 40 breweries and 200 beers. This year’s Detroit Fall Beer Festival has more than twice the breweries and more than twice the beers. Eastern Market dates to 1891, the Guild notes, and the Detroit area once had more than 40 breweries. Old malt silos still stand nearby.

The Guild, formed in 1997, now runs four festivals a year devoted only to Michigan beer from its nearly 300 member breweries. The full brewery and beer list is on the Guild’s site.

If you are reading this before 6 p.m. Eastern, there is still time. The Bureau suggests a ride-share home after the Detroit Fall Beer Festival.

Transmission complete. Hydrate between samples, Earthlings.
