This is a Press Release sent by Can’d Aid that was sent to media outlets. Read email below:
“The Can’d Aid team has been closely monitoring the ever changing and evolving Coronavirus pandemic. After much thought and deliberation, we believe that it is our responsibility to put the safety of our volunteers, community and team first.
That being said, all Can’d Aid community projects have been postponed for the next 30 days.
This includes the:
- Bike build in Salt Lake City, UT – 3/18
- River cleanup in Venice Beach, CA – 3/21
- Skateboard build in Houston, TX – 3/24
- Bike Build in Nashville, TN – 4/1
- Art kit stuffing in Denver, CO – 4/9
We, like everyone else, will continue to follow all recommendations from health officials moving forward. Once the spread of Coronavirus has been contained and community events are safe to organize again, we will reschedule these projects. Please stay tuned for updates, take care of each other and wash your hands!
We hope to see you soon,
Diana Ralston
Executive Director
