Easy Does It non-alcoholic beer is heading south and north at the same time. The Los Angeles brand, co-founded by pro skateboarder Erik Ellington, announced on Oct. 21, 2026, that Karl Strauss Distributing will carry it in San Diego, and Day One Distribution will take it to Oregon, its first market outside California.
The news comes from a paid press release posted on Brewbound and BevNET. Paid release means the brand wrote it, so read the adjectives accordingly. The release does not list ABVs or tasting notes for either beer, so neither does this report.
Where Easy Does It non-alcoholic beer is going
Per the release, Karl Strauss Distributing is now shipping Easy Does It across San Diego, Orange County and the Inland Empire. In Oregon, the beer is available through Day One Distribution, which Robby Roda founded in 2016 to bring Southern California craft beer to Portland.
The release’s boilerplate lists LA Distributing alongside Karl Strauss for Southern California, and says Easy Does It non-alcoholic beer is also sold on Amazon. Its two lagers are called Original Brew and Original Gold.

From 80 accounts to 300
Easy Does It non-alcoholic beer launched in August 2025, and the brand built its first accounts through founder-led distribution around Los Angeles. The release says the brand grew from more than 80 points of distribution in March to more than 300 now. It also landed a Whole Foods Market feature across Southern California, with both lagers in the coldbox.
Co-founder Kellen Roland put the shift plainly: “A little over a year ago, we were delivering beer ourselves around Los Angeles. Now we’re doing it with partners who understand what we’re building.” The Bureau respects any species that starts by hauling its own cases.
The Karl Strauss quote
Here is how Chad Heath, who is now moving Easy Does It non-alcoholic beer in San Diego as COO of the beer division at Karl Strauss Distributing, sized up the category in the release: “The NA market is on fire, and to be working with such an exciting new entrant is not only exciting, but rare.”
Heath also said the company says “no far more than we say yes” to new brands, citing distributor consolidation and a crowded market. Karl Strauss Distributing has picked up outside brands before, including the Bay City Brewing deal. On the brewing side, Karl Strauss runs the 85,000-square-foot San Marcos beer garden.
Skate roots, Oregon first
Ellington spent three decades in skateboarding and built Deathwish Skateboards, Bakerboys Distribution and Supra Footwear, per the release. Easy Does It non-alcoholic beer has grown through skate events, lowrider shows, mezcal festivals and in-store tastings. The release says Ellington’s name has been on the walls of Oregon skate shops for twenty years, which is how the brand explains picking Oregon as its first out-of-state market.
Roda’s take, per the release: the brand is “rooted in skateboarding, music and community, but at the end of the day it’s also just really good beer.” The third co-founder is Jon Warren. You can check store listings at easydoesitbrew.com.
A crowded cooler
Easy Does It is not entering an empty field. California brewers keep adding NA options, like 805’s 8ZERO5, and Athletic Brewing has opened what it calls the world’s largest non-alcoholic brewery. For Easy Does It non-alcoholic beer, the bet is that culture and distribution, not just liquid, will carry it into San Diego bars.
