The Hidden Brewery Opens in a Former Middlesex Bearing Factory

The Hidden Brewery Opens in a Former Middlesex Bearing Factory

Greetings, Earthlings! The Hidden Brewery, Middlesex’s newest craft brewery, marked its official grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, with a ribbon-cutting with the Middlesex Borough mayor scheduled for 11:45 a.m., according to a press release published by New Jersey Craft Beer. The taproom at 600A Lincoln Blvd. has actually been pouring since early August; the party made it official. Bureau scanners nearly missed this one, which seems to be the point.

Hidden Brewery, inside a former bearing factory

The name fits the location. According to the brewery’s September press release, The Hidden Brewery is “tucked among three manufacturing sites” inside a former early-1900s bearing factory, with exposed brick walls, an open bar and a taproom built for gathering. The brewery’s website tells visitors to “Enter through the Tap Room door,” and it runs an overflow lot across the street.

The managing partners are Michael Kuderka and Bill Sahlin. The release also notes the timing: the brewery opened “at a time when many breweries are announcing closures.”

There is nothing more rewarding than brewing the beers you love and sharing them with people who appreciate great beer.

Ahead of the celebration, Kuderka added: “Although we have been open since early August, we are excited to officially celebrate our Grand Opening with the community.”

On tap at the Hidden Brewery now

The brewery’s rotating lineup goes by the tagline “Beers Worth Finding.” The opening release listed five styles: Saison, Kölsch, Hazy IPA, Milk Stout and Oatmeal Stout. When Bureau sensors checked the brewery’s tap list on Oct. 10, all five styles appeared with names, alongside a Belgian Strong and an American Pale Ale. ABVs below are as the brewery lists them:

  • Won’t Last Long, Kölsch, 5%
  • 261, Saison, 7%
  • Lost Memories, Hazy IPA, 7.9%
  • This Old Building, Oatmeal Stout, also on nitro, 5.6%
  • Utterly Confused, Milk Stout, contains lactose, 5%
  • Identity Crisis, Belgian Strong, 7.5%
  • Failure to Communicate, American Pale Ale, 5.9%

A wild strawberry limoncello lavender hard seltzer (5%) and a non-alcoholic version are also listed. The brewery says the list “will change with the seasons,” so treat this as a snapshot, not a permanent star chart. Select beers go home in 32-ounce crowlers.

Grand opening day

The release promised fresh beer, raffles, new brewery merchandise and “surprises throughout the day.” The website added prize drawings and said Burgers Plus would be on site selling burgers, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks and fries for the celebration.
