LUKI Brewery was awarded a silver medal at the 2023 Best of Craft Beer Awards which took place March 31-April 2. Held in Bend Oregon, the 9th Annual Best of Craft Beer Awards is one of America’s fastest growing beer competitions.
“Since we started over two years ago, we’ve been focused on making beers to dazzle our guests,” says LUKI Co-Founder and Ringmaster Jeff Smith. “Winning this award and receiving acknowledgement from the craft beer community is so special.”
LUKI Brewery was recognized in the Juicy or Hazy IPA category for Hop Juggling Hazy. This Hazy IPA recipe utilizes a mix of classic and newer hops. Featuring New Zealand Taiheke hops, as well as HBC 586, a new varietal and McKenzie, hops that are only in their second year of harvest, Hop Juggling Hazy is a flavor explosion of grapefruit, nectarine, lemon, and lime with a minimal bitter bite.
More than 100 qualified international judges for the 2023 Best of Craft Beer Awards competition evaluated over 2,500 entries. Breweries of all sizes sent over 16,000 containers of their finest product for evaluation entered in 59 categories and subcategories. There were 165 gold, silver, and bronze medals awarded to 128 brewery locations around the world.
“Hop Juggling Hazy has a special place in our hearts as the team worked hard to improve and evolve our core hazy beer to what it is today. Using lesser-known hops brings exciting flavor combinations that our guests have loved, and it’s great seeing positive responses for this beer in a competitive arena,” says Smith.
Hop Juggling Hazy is currently available draft and in 32-ounce crowlers at LUKI Brewery, while supplies last (limited quantity).
