Woodchuck Hard Cider, the brand that started the American cider revolution in 1991, is pleased to announce the arrival of several new styles including Nature’s Nectar and Chuck’s Imperials, both now available across the country. Nature’s Nectar and Chuck’s Imperials join a long list of hard ciders crafted by Woodchuck, which have been at the forefront of innovation across the category for more than 30 years.
Nature’s Nectar, at 5.1% alc/vol, is a traditional semi-dry available in a 16oz can in a 4 pack and in draft. Made from 100% sustainably grown fresh pressed apples from Vermont orchards who follow sustainable growing practices, Nature’s Nectar is a proud member of 1% For The Planet®. The membership model drives critical philanthropic support to address severe environmental issues. SRP for the new offerings ranges from $10.99 to $12.99 per pack.
All apples pressed for the juice in Nature’s Nectar come from Eco Certified orchards in Vermont and other Northeast states. The EcoCertified Fruit program is a community of farmers, scientists, advisors, and eaters who are dedicated to finding and supporting the most ecologically friendly way to grow wholesale tree fruit in the Northeastern and Eastern United States. Eco practices are based on creating an orchard ecosystem that supports pollinators, keeps damaging insects in balance with natural predators, and promotes soil and tree health. When you buy EcoCertified Fruit, you are investing in sustainable growing practices that you can feel good about. An EcoCertified fruit label is synonymous with delicious, safe, locally grown, and environmentally responsible growing practices.
Chucks Imperials Variety Pack includes 12oz cans in a 6 pack, 8% alc/vol, and features two cans each of three never-before-seen styles of Woodchuck: Big Crush, Cheeky Cherry and Wild Tropics. Big Crush is a refreshing traditional semi-sweet hard cider with no additional fruit flavors, while Cheeky Cherry possesses a touch of cherry and lychee, and Wild Tropics leans towards a more exotic taste with notes of passion and dragon fruit, making them a bit more fruit forward. Wild Tropics is also sold separately and available in a standalone 6 pack format and draft.
“This innovation is focused on bringing new drinkers to the Woodchuck brand, meeting market demand for more sustainable ciders and requests from our fans wanting imperials within Woodchuck as the subsegment continues to grow. Initial reactions have been excellent, and we are excited to launch these as great additions to our core line up.” says Bridget Blacklock, Chief Commercial Officer, Vermont Cider Company.
All Woodchuck hard ciders are certified gluten free and produced at Woodcuck’s award-winning cidery in Middlebury, VT. Chuck’s Imperials and Nature’s Nectar will be sold via Woodchuck.com‘s direct to consumer platform, for a great alternative when consumers can’t find it locally.
