Wild Rose Brewery and Wild Tea Kombucha partner on kombucha beer again

Wild Rose Brewery and Wild Tea Kombucha partner on kombucha beer again

Wild Tea Kombucha and Wild Rose Brewery are proud to launch their limited edition “Blushing Brew 2” on February 14th, 2018 just in time for Valentine’s Day. The blend is a combination of hibiscus, rose petal and juniper berry kombucha with Cowbell kettle sour which makes a colourful, drinkable and unique brew. The result is a flavour that is a bit tart, has a nice earthy tone with a touch of sweetness.

The name Blushing Brew stems from the natural blush rose colour of the drink. A healthier alternative than regular beer, the kombucha adds probiotics and digestive enzymes that help maintain a healthy gut. While it has built a cult following among natural health circles, kombucha is fairly new to the public stage. In simple terms, kombucha is a naturally energizing, lightly effervescent fermented tea.

“We’re so excited to collaborate with Wild Rose again on Blushing Brew 2,” says former Canadian Olympic Team Member in Bobsled and Wild Tea Kombucha founder Emily Baadsvik. “The first version of Blushing Brew was so hugely popular, it was a no-brainer to release it to the wild in 2018”.

The two companies don’t just share a name in common, both are proud Alberta-based companies who believe in small batch, craft beverages. The partnership began during the early stages of Wild Tea Kombucha’s business when Emily was learning about alcohol testing.  She struck up a friendship with Wild Rose Brewery’s Director of Operations, Brian Smith and was immediately attracted to their ability to create mini batches in their Mount Royal location.

“We are so proud and feel so lucky to work with Wild Rose again, they have such a strong legacy here in Alberta and are willing to work with local breweries sharing their expertise,” continues Emily Baadsvik. “Their team has supported the growth of our business from day one and it is truly an honour to partner with them again in 2018.”

Blushing Brew is only available in draft form in Calgary in limited quantities. To learn more about Wild Tea Kombucha and Wild Rose Brewery, please visit their websites at http://www.wildteakombucha.com/ and www.wildrosebrewery.com.

About Wild Rose Brewery:
For over 2 decades, Alberta’s beer fans, adventurers and offbeat characters have come together at Wild Rose Brewery. Like all Albertans, we’ve learned and grown a lot in 20+ years (and have some wild stories to prove it). While times have changed, our passion for creating fresh, authentic beers and unforgettable experiences hasn’t. We’ve grown enough to provide best-in-class quality control, but are small enough to stay true to our craft. And we’d love to show you around AF23, our WWII Air Force Hangar-turned-Taproom! Our obsession with the unbridled Alberta spirit has inspired an anthology of flavours that can be enjoyed alone or mixed together for a truly wild experience. And if you find a flavour combo you love, we’ll mix it to go in a 32oz Crowler! From fresh, local, preservative-free ingredients to unbelievable experiences, Wild Rose Brewery is making Alberta even wilder, one beer at a time.
