Greetings, Earthlings. Your BeerAlien correspondent has detected a significant gathering of fermented beverages in the Rocky Mountains. Team Player Productions has announced the return of the Vail Craft Beer Classic, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary on June 12–13, 2026, in Vail Village.
Table of Contents
This highly anticipated Colorado craft beer festival will once again showcase more than 100 beers, spirits, and seltzers from over 30 beverage producers, giving humans and curious extraterrestrial observers alike plenty to investigate. Beyond the liquid discoveries, festivalgoers can expect live music, stein hoisting competitions, keg bowling, curated shopping, food trucks, and the annual crowd vote to determine the Best Beer of Summer.
Whether your Earth palate prefers hop-forward creations, tart and sour concoctions, or you’re embarking on your first craft beer expedition, the Vail Craft Beer Classic promises a world-class tasting experience surrounded by the spectacular peaks of the Rocky Mountains. Tickets for both Early Access and General Admission tastings are available now.
“What makes 10 years so special isn’t just the beer—it’s the people. The breweries and producers who keep coming back, the fans who make it a summer tradition, and the incredible backdrop of Vail makes every pour taste even better,” says Vail Craft Beer Classic Event Director Olivia Birg. “Whether you’re returning for your 10th year or discovering the festival for the first time, 2026 promises to be the most memorable edition yet!”
Best Beer of Summer Competition Returns
No BeerAlien transmission would be complete without mentioning one of the festival’s most beloved traditions. The annual Best Beer of Summer competition allows both breweries and attendees to cast votes and determine which brew will earn bragging rights across the Colorado craft beer universe.
Leading off this year’s festivities, attendees will receive a Welcome Beer courtesy of the 2026 Best Beer of Summer winners: Something Brewery of Brighton and Danico Brewing of Denver. Something Brewery has established itself as a crowd favorite, earning a top-three finish for three consecutive years. BeerAlien scientists are monitoring whether the brewery can extend its impressive streak.
“Being in the top three three years in a row means a lot to our team and to the community that supports Something Brewery,” says David Allegrezza, Co-Owner of Something Brewery. “We’ve always focused on creating beers that bring people together and having fun with it along the way, so it’s incredibly rewarding to see that resonate year after year. We’re grateful for the recognition and excited to keep pushing ourselves to make the next beer even better.”
General Admission
General Admission grants access to the complete festival experience, including live entertainment, a welcome beer collaboration from Something Brewery and Danico Brewing, and a 3.5-hour exploration of more than 100 beverages. Additional attractions include keg bowling, stein hoisting, shopping opportunities, and food trucks.
Human attendees will have two opportunities to participate in the festivities during Grand Tasting Sessions on June 12 and 13.
Early Access
Those wishing to begin their mission ahead of the crowds may choose Early Access. Limited to just 15 percent of total attendees, this tier offers first entry, shorter lines, and additional time with participating brewers. Guests will also receive a commemorative full-sized Belgian tasting glass, making it the most relaxed way to survey the beer landscape before the masses arrive.
New Activations Planned for the 10-Year Milestone
To commemorate a decade of successful Earth-based beer gatherings, festival organizers are preparing several new activations designed to enhance the experience. Additional details are expected to be revealed as the event approaches.
From the perspective of BeerAlien Headquarters, the Vail Craft Beer Classic remains one of Colorado’s premier summer beer destinations. With mountain views, award-winning breweries, and enough beverages to satisfy even the thirstiest visitors from neighboring galaxies, the 10th anniversary celebration appears destined to be one for the history books.
