Sanitas Brewing Company, a mainstay on the competitive Colorado craft beer scene for more than half a decade, has added three more awards to its already impressive 2021 collection of honors, claiming prizes at both the Denver International Beer Competition and the Brewski Awards.
Sanitas Brewing Company’s acclaimed Black IPA earned a silver medal at the Denver International Beer Competition, the beer’s second award this year after it also claimed a bronze medal at the 10th Annual New York International Beer Competition in March. The Denver International Beer Competition is the largest international beer tasting competition in the Rocky Mountain West, with hundreds of breweries competing.
Sanitas Brewing Company also picked up a pair of honors at the 2021 Brewski Awards, an international competition consisting of hundreds of some of the best breweries and beers in the world. Both the Sanitas Brewing Hazy IPA and Prickly Pear Sour earned bronze medals in the competition.

Founded in 2013, the Sanitas Brewing Company currently offers four year-round beers and more than 25 unique beers throughout the year. The beers are available in their taproom and patio located in the shadow of the iconic Boulder Flatirons and Mount Sanitas, for which the brewery is named. Sanitas Brewing Company was named the Colorado Ale Brewery of the Year at the New York International Beer Competition in March and picked up a silver medal at the Great American Beer Fest in 2020.
The Sanitas Brewing Company also boasts the largest outdoor seating space for any brewery in the City of Boulder; acclaimed by many as the best patio in Boulder. The patio space covers roughly 8,000 square feet and includes yard games and a locally renowned taco truck McDevitt’s Taco Supply.
