Roadhouse Brewing is getting ready to launch its latest creation: Plasma, an adventurous Hazy IPA set to tantalize the taste buds of hop aficionados. With an ABV of 6.9%, this brew promises a memorable experience with every sip, showcasing a unique blend of flavors and aromas that push the boundaries of traditional brewing.
Plasma’s journey began with a bold exploration into uncharted territory, as Roadhouse Brewing sought to push the limits of dankness and flavor. The brewmasters embraced a combination of cutting-edge hop varieties and innovative hop products to craft a truly exceptional beer. Elani, Pink, and HBC 1019 hops take center stage, infusing Plasma with tropical notes of guava, watermelon, citrus, and stone fruit, all underscored by subtle hints of dank herb. To further enhance the dry hop character without introducing bitterness, Salvo and Spectrum hop extracts were incorporated, resulting in a pungently aromatic yet remarkably smooth and drinkable brew.
Brewmaster Max Shafer noted, “For fans of our cult-favorite The Walrus Hazy IPA, expect a similarly velvety IPA with fruit notes stemming from some exciting new hops, rather than fresh fruit this time. Plus, with a slightly lower ABV, Plasma offers even greater drinkability.”
In addition to its exceptional taste, Plasma boasts a striking visual identity. Roadhouse Brewing is unveiling a new can design alongside the release of Plasma, signaling a fresh chapter for the brand. What began as a ‘superdelic’ one-off label, crafted by co-founder Colby Cox in collaboration with Grammy-award-winning artist Matt Taylor, has evolved into a cohesive new aesthetic for Roadhouse Brewing. Inspired by a shared love for music, the outdoors, and an independent spirit, the cosmic, psychedelic feel of the new designs pays homage to the brand’s roots while embracing a bold new direction.
Colby Cox, owner and CEO of Pure Madness Brewery Group, Roadhouse’s parent company since the acquisition of Melvin Brewing in 2022, reflected on the brand’s ethos and vision. “Music and the psychedelic experience have always been at the heart of Roadhouse Brewing. While our original lineup paid subtle tribute to these influences, our new can designs make a bolder statement. We aim to overtly acknowledge that our creativity and innovation are deeply rooted in altered states of consciousness. After all, we’re just a ‘merry band of pranksters,’ and it’s all about going Furthur.”
With Plasma, Roadhouse Brewing invites you on an exhilarating journey of flavor and design. As the release date approaches, anticipation is high for this addition to the Roadhouse lineup.
