Ballast Point Releases Padres Postseason Pinstripe Lager

Ballast Point Brewing Company is celebrating the San Diego Padres postseason the only way they know how — with a special release!

Ballast Point’s newest can release, Pinstripe Lager, was specially brewed to celebrate the San Diego Padres‘ advancement to the playoffs — a spot they haven’t savored since 2006. Pinstripe Lager is an extremely limited release and only available at Ballast Point tasting rooms in Miramar, Little Italy and Home Brew Mart beginning today, Tuesday, September 29. Swingin’ Friar Ale, the official craft beer of the San Diego Padres, was brewed by Ballast Point in 2019 to commemorate the hometown team’s 50th Anniversary season and named for the Padres’ iconic Friar mascot.

PINSTRIPE LAGER – Pale Lager, ABV: 7%, SRM: 3, IBU: 23

Pale, effervescent, and crafted with refreshment in mind — exactly what you’d hope for from a ballpark beer, but just a little bit stronger.  Simple base malt brings a lightly bready/crackery note, and a punchy addition of Cascade hops adds a fruity, lightly citrusy/floral note and a gentle bitterness.  Well-balanced (just like the Padres’ lineup) and deliciously drinkable.  16 oz., 4-pack cans
