Garage Beer Gets $20 Million Revolving Credit Line From Tiger Finance

Garage Beer Gets $20 Million Revolving Credit Line From Tiger Finance

Garage Beer, the Columbus, Ohio, light beer brand whose stakeholders include Jason and Travis Kelce, has a new $20 million revolving line of credit from Tiger Finance, according to a Tiger Capital Group press release dated Oct. 14, 2026. The release calls the brand “one of the fastest-growing premium light beer brands.”

The Bureau has spent much of this year logging breweries scrambling for credit. This one went the other way, so here is the readout.

What the Garage Beer credit facility announcement says

The press release is short. Its key points:

  • Lender: Tiger Finance, part of the Tiger Group lending platform, which the release says provides “a variety of asset-based debt solutions across industries and asset classes.”
  • Facility: a $20 million revolving line of credit.
  • Stakeholders named: Jason and Travis Kelce and Durational Capital Management, LP.
  • Leadership: the company “has been led by Founder Andy Sauer since 2023.”
  • Growth backdrop: the release says the brand has seen continued growth following a 2025 strategic investment from Durational.

The release does not explain how the money will be spent, beyond the quotes below. Interest rates, maturity and collateral were not disclosed, and the Bureau will not guess at them. A revolving line, in general terms, is credit a company can draw on, repay and draw on again up to its limit, rather than a lump-sum loan.

The quotes

“We appreciate Tiger’s creativity and partnership to structure a credit facility that leverages the strength of Garage Beer’s brand to support the Company’s growth objectives.”

— Patrick Khayat, Co-Founder and Partner of Durational

Khayat added that Tiger Finance is “a debt partner that we have collaborated with in the past,” and that the firm looks forward “to furthering the relationship as we expand the Garage Beer line of products and grow into new markets.”

Andy Cerussi, Senior Managing Director of Tiger Finance, said: “We are thrilled to have been chosen by Durational and the Company as their preferred financing partner.” He also cited Durational’s ability to “further the growth and scale of the business” and the effect the Kelce brothers have had on brand awareness.

What’s in the can

The release describes an American light beer brand “with its roots in the Midwest” that is “crisp, refreshing, and 95 calories.” Its tagline, “Beer Flavored Beer,” appears in the release with a trademark symbol. The release does not give an ABV, but Garage’s official website lists its Light Beer at 4% ABV, 95 calories and 3g carbs, alongside a lime version with the same figures. The website’s About Us section is admirably honest: “Our story? We just really like light beer.”

BeerAlien first logged the Kelce connection in 2024, when the brothers became significant owners of Garage Beer. That announcement said the recipe was originally created in Cincinnati, where both brothers played college football, before the business moved its headquarters to Columbus.

Garage Beer and the independents: two different weather systems

Context is where the anthropology gets interesting. Celebrity-backed light beer is raising growth capital, while many small independent breweries are fighting to keep the lights on.

In St. Paul, Minnesota, Summit Brewing found a new lender after BMO went to court over more than $8 million in unpaid debt. In California, our look at California craft breweries closing tracked a state that went from 987 craft breweries in 2023 to 939 in 2025, with tariffs raising aluminum and steel costs. Memphis watched Crosstown Brewing close its taproom.

The Tiger release does not compare Garage Beer to anyone, and the Bureau is not suggesting the two stories are directly linked. But a lender explicitly crediting famous owners with “positively influencing brand awareness” says something about what capital is chasing in 2026. Recognizable faces and national ambition are getting financed. For a neighborhood taproom, that kind of brand awareness is much harder to come by.

Signal summary

Garage Beer has $20 million in revolving credit, an investment partner that came aboard in 2025, two Kelces and a light lager its own website pegs at 4% ABV. Durational says the plan is to expand the product line and grow into new markets. Where those markets are, the release does not say. This correspondent will keep a sensor on Columbus.
