Fall Brewing Fast Sunglasses is a new 7% West Coast IPA brewed by San Diego’s Fall Brewing Company in collaboration with El Segundo Brewing, according to the San Diego Beer News What’s Tapping column for Oct. 15, 2026. That weekly list is where our sensors first picked up the signal, and as of this transmission it is the only published source the Bureau could find.

That makes this a short field report. Here is what is confirmed, what is not, and where to look next.

Fall Brewing Fast Sunglasses: what the listing says

The San Diego Beer News entry is a single line, and the Bureau has no intention of embroidering it. It reads, in substance:

  • Brewery: Fall Brewing (Miramar, North Park, South Park)
  • Beer: Fast Sunglasses
  • Style: West Coast IPA
  • ABV: 7%
  • Collaborator: El Segundo Brewing

No hop bill, no tasting notes, no can or draft details and no specific tapping day appear in the listing. The column itself tells readers to consult each brewery’s official website or social-media accounts for release dates, times and locations. We tried. The beer page on Fall’s site and El Segundo Brewing’s homepage did not mention Fast Sunglasses when we checked, and the Bureau found no Untappd entry it could verify. So every number above belongs to San Diego Beer News, and nothing else is being invented to fill the gaps.

Where to find Fall Brewing

Fall Brewing’s official site lists three San Diego outposts, which matches the three neighborhoods named in the Fall Brewing Fast Sunglasses listing:

  • Miramar (headquarters, brewery and tasting room): 9550 Distribution Ave.
  • North Park (brewery and tasting room): 4542 30th St.
  • South Park (the Golden Rhino Room tasting room): 3010 Juniper St.

The listing does not say which of the three is pouring Fall Brewing Fast Sunglasses, or whether all three are. Check Fall’s tap list or social channels before you launch your shuttle across town.

A small anthropological note. Fall describes itself as “Doing what we want, when we want since 2014,” and its North Park page cheerfully admits, “We barely hit release dates.” Earthlings hunting this collaboration should take that as a friendly warning to confirm availability first.

The El Segundo half of the beam

El Segundo Brewing works out of the South Bay of Los Angeles County and is no stranger to collaborations. BeerAlien logged one of its louder ones years ago, when El Segundo Brewing and the band 311 announced an IPA. Fall Brewing Fast Sunglasses points that collaborative habit south toward San Diego.

Fall Brewing Fast Sunglasses among this week’s West Coast IPAs

Fall Brewing Fast Sunglasses did not arrive alone. The same Oct. 15 column listed several other West Coast IPAs debuting or returning around the county. For comparison, here are a few from that list, with strengths exactly as San Diego Beer News printed them:

Brewery Beer Style (per SDBN) ABV
Fall Brewing x El Segundo Brewing Fast Sunglasses West Coast IPA 7%
Pure Project Brewing Baja Breach West Coast IPA 7%
Green Cheek Beer Co. Skeleton Wings Double Dry-hopped West Coast IPA 7.2%
Sunny Grove Brewing Rain Delay West Coast IPA 6.8%
Bay City Brewing Chilly Nelson West Coast IPA 6.5%
Black Plague Brewing Loud Mouth West Coast IPA 6.5%

Societe Brewing’s The Artifact also sat on that list at 7.1%, and the Bureau already filed a full report on Societe The Artifact. For the previous week’s arrivals, see our roundup of new San Diego beers with wet hops and dark fall releases.

Outside the county, the 7% West Coast IPA collaboration seems to be a popular orbit this month. Up in the Bay Area, Cellarmaker and Portland’s Brujos released The Ghost I Used To Be, a 7% West Coast IPA.

Plotting your route

If you are building a West Coast IPA crawl, start with the BeerAlien San Diego Brewery List, then confirm on Fall’s own channels that Fall Brewing Fast Sunglasses is pouring before you set course. When either brewery publishes hops, notes or packaging details, the Bureau will update the log. Until then, the only confirmed data point is the most important one: it is a 7% West Coast IPA, and it exists.
