Tröegs Independent Brewing has officially announced the launch of “PALs with your Pal,” a new partnership with the Pennsylvania SPCA (PSPCA) designed to raise awareness for pet adoption and help rescue animals find loving homes.
Running throughout the months of September and October, the independent, family-owned brewery will highlight a featured adoptable pet each week. To help potential pet owners take the leap, Tröegs will cover all upfront adoption fees for every featured animal in need of rescue.
Brewing Hope for Rescue Dogs
For the team at Tröegs, supporting animal welfare is deeply personal.
“Our family has been a big supporter of dog rescues for many years,” says John Trogner, Tröegs brewmaster and co-founding brother. “The goal is to help the PSPCA find homes for some of its sweetest dogs who just need a second chance.”
The initiative comes at a crucial time for animal shelters across the state.
“Animals come into our shelter every day looking for a fresh start,” explains Gillian Kocher, Director of Public Relations at the PSPCA. “Since Pennsylvania has one of the largest adoption rates in the country, we’re grateful for Tröegs’ support in helping some of our loveable pets find their forever homes.”
Inspired by Pennsylvania Lager (PA Lager)
The campaign takes its name from Tröegs’ newest year-round offering: Pennsylvania Lager (affectionately known as PA Lager).
Inspired by the universal appeal of crisp, easy-drinking lagers from the pre-Prohibition era, PA Lager is a 5% ABV beer crafted to deliver a refreshing smile with every sip. Since debuting last year, Pennsylvania Lager has quickly surged in popularity to become Tröegs’ second best-selling beer, right behind their flagship Perpetual IPA.
“It’s the ideal beer to enjoy while sitting on the porch and spending some quality time with your pal,” adds Trogner.
