During a time when the beer industry is hurting financially from restaurant closures almost as badly as the laid-off restaurant employees themselves, a group of 500+ breweries world-wide have joined forces to help.
The collaboration is called All Together Beer, and it’s led by some of the highest-rated independent breweries in the U.S., including New York’s Other Half Brewing and Portland’s Great Notion Brewing.
Over 300 All Together beers were crafted by pairs of breweries around the globe — and fans can find them at the breweries and even through online retailer Tavour. A portion of the profits from each beer will go directly toward supporting hospitality professionals in the brewer’s communities.
They provide that support through non-profits like the New York-based ROAR: Relief Opportunities for All Restaurants. ROAR believes that “hospitality teams live to take care of guests,” and now it’s our turn to take care of them. So, they’ve set up a restaurant employee relief fund for NYC — the region that has been hit the hardest by COVID-19 in the country.
500+ breweries are doing their part, but what can beer drinkers do to help? All Together invites you to sign up for their mailing list. The beers are currently being brewed around the world, and the organization will contact you when they’re ready!
When they are, you’ll be able to purchase them from participating local breweries, and a portion of the proceeds will support hospitality professionals in your community. The rest will go to helping that brewery through an incredibly difficult and unprecedented time.
It’s not the only way you can help — many local bottleshops are offering contact-free pickup, some breweries have begun shipping within their state, and the first All Together beer offered on Tavour was so popular it sold out in only three hours! Be on the lookout for the next All Together from Other Half and Elder Pine releasing on Tavour soon.
