First Craft Beer TV Network Launches With Parody Porn Site

A bold new video-on-demand network for the craft beer generation, The BrewDog Network, was officially launched today by independent craft brewery, BrewDog. To get viewers hot and heavy with excitement, content for the new network can be peeped on parody porn site, BeerPorn (www.beer.porn), which includes trailers for many of its 14 original series and genuine “beer porn” clips.

The BrewDog Network will be a subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service offering a broad range of beer, food, travel and entertainment shows, with hundreds of hours of fresh content available from day one; new content added weekly and a new series premier every quarter.

The parody porn site, BeerPorn, provides a sneak peek into the stimulating content subscribers can expect to enjoy, and demonstrates the network’s desire to offer the most compelling content on the web.

“The BrewDog Network is the new king of content” said James Watt, cofounder of BrewDog. “Craft beer is our passion – it’s always been what turns us on. And with the launch of the new network we no longer have to keep it as our dirty little secret. Porn may be the most popular content on the web today – but we’re about to change that. Our awesome shows span beer and spirits, food and travel, and everything in between, to deliver maximum viewing pleasure.”

“This is a new type of business. A new type of show business.” Watt adds. “This is BeerPorn.”

Hundreds of hours of fresh content

The BrewDog Network is pioneering a new model of SVOD (subscription video on demand) networks, centered around a passion for craft beer, expanding into its natural influences on food, culture and even business. For $4.99 per month, subscribers will immediately have unlimited, ad-free access to hundreds of hours of culinary voyages, game shows, distinctive documentaries, talk shows and of course, beer innovation.

The BrewDog cofounders will unveil ‘The BrewDog Show,’ an all new brewing travelogue that will appeal to fans of their previous hit series ‘Brew Dogs’ that ran for 3 seasons. accompanied by 13 other original series including: Zane Lamprey’s ‘Four Sheets,’ a comedic highlight reel of drinks culture around the world, and comedy game show ‘Are You Smarter than a Drunk Person?’ hosted by Parks & Recreation’s, Alison Becker. Rounding out the content offering will be a range of drinks-related acquisitions including William Shatner’s ‘Brown Bag Wine Tasting,’ ‘The Flying Winemaker’ and a range of hand-picked documentaries focused on everything from whisky to craft beer to absinthe.

Watt explains:

“After our previous TV show, ‘Brew Dogs’ got cancelled, we didn’t want to sit around in our underpants, crying into a tub of ice-cream. So we decided the only thing to do would be to build our own TV network. This is a genuine move to take the video-on-demand revolution to a new level. Driven by true passion and enthusiasm, we are doing exactly what we did with craft beer; raising standards and eyebrows in equal measure.”

Content on tap for iOS and Android users at launch

Like other streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu, The BrewDog Network is available via the web and a stand-alone app on iOS and Android.

Established by Watt and his friend and brewer Martin Dickie in Scotland in 2007, BrewDog has grown into one of the fastest growing drinks businesses on the planet, opening its US brewery in Columbus, Ohio last year. The brewery has attracted over 80,000 individual investors through its groundbreaking Equity for Punks crowdfunding program.

Watt continues:

“Just as Netflix has pioneered mainstream streaming services, The BrewDog Network will be the first globally-recognized, passion-focused platform. We believe craft beer can be the inspiration for the most popular content on the internet – maybe even more popular than videos of cats falling off walls or celebrity sex tapes.”
