2022 Medianoche
For the 2022 vintage of WeldWerks’ flagship Barrel-Aged Stout, they decided to showcase their favorite Buffalo Trace Distillery brands. This distinct blend was selected exclusively from batches of Medianoche aged for 22-24 months in freshly emptied Blanton’s 15-year bourbon, Thomas H. Handy 6-year rye, E.H. Taylor 6-year bourbon, and Eagle Rare 10-year bourbon barrels. Medianoche, which means “midnight” in Spanish, embodies the hard work, patience, and uncompromising dedication to excellence that WeldWerks values.
Midnight Magick III: The Last Barrel on the Left
Midnight Magick, an imperial stout embodying patience and planning, is making its return to the bottle for one final blend. After barrelling batch one of Midnight Magick in April 2018 and batch two in July 2019, one barrel was left behind from each of the two blends. The blending of these barrels gives you the oak monster that is Midnight Magick Vol. 3: The Last Barrel On the Left. Batch one spent 52 months in an 11-year-old Dickel bourbon barrel. Batch two aged for 38 months in a 14-year-old Heaven Hills bourbon barrel. Combined, they make the longest barrel-aged stout WeldWerks has ever crafted. Cheers to the final chapter in the Midnight Magick saga…though we all know the boogie man never really dies.
2022 Starry Noche
WeldWerks’ 2022 vintage of Starry Noche started as a carefully selected blend of Medianoche batches aged for 20-29 months in a variety of freshly emptied Old Fitzgerald 14-year bourbon, Elijah Craig 19-year bourbon, Sazerac 14-year rye, Blanton’s 8-year bourbon, Eagle Rare 10-year bourbon, and Henry McKenna 11-year bourbon barrels. After resting in these incredible casks for over two years, the blend was conditioned on more than three pounds per gallon of toasted coconut flakes and raw coconut chips and finished with toasted hazelnut.
