This month, Von Ebert Brewing will release fresh hop beers to celebrate Northwest breweries’ favorite time of year – fresh hop season.
“We’re lucky to be in the Northwest making beer where nearly all of America’s hops are grown. This geographic advantage allows us to celebrate fresh hops in a way other breweries can’t. We’re also able to partner with local hop growers right in our backyard,” said Sam Pecoraro, brewmaster of Von Ebert Brewing. “At Von Ebert Brewing, we’re proud to have evolved our traditional beer offerings with fresh Oregon-grown hop varieties from our partners at Goschie Farms and Coleman Hops.”
Von Ebert Brewing will release:
- Fresh Hop Sector 7 Hazy IPA highlighting Indie Hops Luminosa hops from Goschie Farms on September 4 – 16-ounce cans and draft
- Fresh Hop Volatile Substance IPA highlighting Indie Hops Strata hops from Goschie Farms on September 4 – 16-ounce cans and draft
- Fresh Hop Pils highlighting Willamette hops from Goschie Farms on September 11 – draft only
- Fresh Hop Volatile Substance IPA highlighting Mosaic hops (cold side and hot side) from Coleman Hops on September 12 and October 2 – draft only
These fresh hop beers will be available as draft or 16-ounce four-packs at Von Ebert Brewing locations along with Northwest bars, bottleshops and grocery stores, such as New Seasons, starting September 4 and going through October or while supplies last.
With the purchase of the brewing facility on N. Mississippi Ave. in Portland, Von Ebert Brewing will expand production and distribution from 4,000 to 20,000 barrels per year over time. This allowed Von Ebert Brewing to sell 12-ounce cans of its Pils and it plans to add even more beers as 12-ounce six-packs before the end of the year. Von Ebert Brewing will open the N. Mississippi Ave. taproom to the public this fall and grow its distribution throughout Oregon and Washington, and eventually Idaho and parts of California.
