Schlafly Beer, the original, independent St. Louis craft brewery, announces today the release of the brand’s most popular seasonal beer, Pumpkin Ale (8.0% ABV), as well as a new, fun extension of the style, hitting distribution this year: Vanilla Pumpkin Ale (8.0% ABV). Both beers will be available across Schlafly’s 18-state distribution throughout the Midwest and East Coast in both 6-pack and cases of 12-ounce bottles.
While consumers may be looking to enjoy the final days of summer in August, beer brands look towards fall with the release of seasonal styles. For Schlafly Beer, Pumpkin Ale remains the brand’s most popular season style, so much so that the legacy craft brewer has launched a second pumpkin beer this year with Vanilla Pumpkin Ale. With all the classic notes of the brewery’s acclaimed Pumpkin Ale of cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg, the addition of vanilla brings a creamy sweetness to the seasonal favorite.
“Pumpkin Ale continues to be a growth performer beer in our portfolio,” CEO David Schlafly explains, “While other breweries might have abandoned the style, we’re confident in the exceptional quality of our Pumpkin Ale, but we always want to continue to evolve so this year, we are introducing Vanilla Pumpkin Ale as well. It’s something familiar, yet new for our loyal Pumpkin Ale fans to enjoy.”
Schlafly’s traditional Pumpkin Ale is frequently referred to as “pumpkin pie in a glass” – a well-balanced brew from start to finish with notes of warm baking spices throughout. The Vanilla Pumpkin Ale takes this nostalgic experience a step further with a flavor profile similar to Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream or fresh vanilla ice cream.
“We’re focused on creating memories at Schlafly Beer from our brewpubs to our beers. Schlafly’s Pumpkin Ale is synonymous with fall for many, and we’re grateful to be a part of our consumers’ fall experiences from fall camping trips and bonfires to holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving.”
Six-packs of Pumpkin Ale and Vanilla Pumpkin Ale are $13.99 suggested retail price.
