San Franpsycho IPA by Anchor Brewing Company

San Franpsycho IPA by Anchor Brewing Company

San Franpsycho IPA by Anchor Brewing Company

6.30% ABV

Brewed with 2-row pale, red wheat and acidulated malt, San Franpsycho® IPA pours a hazy golden straw color with a white fluffy head. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth yet mildly effervescent with a hint of back-end tartness. San Franpsycho® IPA is fermented with a mixed culture of yeast to create a unique and fruity estery nose, unlike any other IPA from Anchor. Anchor brewers add peach and apricot fruit puree during the secondary fermentation, giving the beer a pleasant hint of sweetness and abundantly fruity aromas of peach, apricot, and pineapple with a bit of funky dank.

This hazy IPA packs a pretty tasty and delicious 6.3% ABV with floral hops and big, juicy stone fruit notes. It’s a hazy IPA fermented with a mixed-culture yeast and peach and apricot purees.

The nose follows up with more stone fruit with that balances with the juicy (sometimes slightly tart) herbal hops and finishes strong with apricot and peaches.

I thoroughly enjoyed this beer and think it successfully showed what San Francisco is all about, a little funky, totally juicy and slightly eccentric !
