805 Beer announced today that professional MMA athlete Tabatha Ricci has joined its family of “authenticos,” a band of ambassadors who embody the culture and values of 805.
Tabatha Ricci hails from Brazil and now lives on California’s Central Coast, the home of 805. She trains and teaches at Paragon Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Ventura, where she inspires young women in the community and around the world to participate in jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts. Ricci will defend her 7-1 professional record at her next fight on March 4 in Las Vegas.
“I hope to always motivate people to follow their dreams, no matter where they come from or what others say,” Tabatha Ricci said.
805 Beer has released a new ad campaign that provides a window into Ricci’s life and career, from when she started training with her father at the age of six to her ascent into the highest ranks of mixed martial arts. The partnership will also include events, in-store POS and editorial stories starting in 2023.
The connection with Ricci reinforces 805’s longtime connections with athletes, artists and artisans who excel in their respective disciplines and inspire others to chase their passions.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to learn from some of the most talented trainers and coaches in the industry on the Central Coast,” Ricci said. “This community is my family and 805 is my home. I’m proud to represent the Central Coast on the world stage, in the cage. I’m stoked to be partnering with 805 Beer and excited for what is on the horizon together.”
“Tabatha’s passion, drive and work ethic align with what 805 is all about,” said Dustin Hinz, CMO at Firestone Walker Brewing Company. “Mixed martial arts is tightly woven into the communities of California. Tabatha is an exemplary ambassador of the sport, and her impact is both local and global.”
