D.C. seafood stalwart Jamie Leeds Restaurant Group’s flagship restaurant,Hank’s Oyster Bar, is introducing an exclusive, oyster-infused beer—the Salty Wolfe Stout—in partnership with beloved Maryland-based craft beer brand Denizens Brewing Company.
The specialty dark ale is available on tap at all Hank’s Oyster Bar locations from Friday, November 29 through the end of 2019. Priced at $7 per pint, a portion of proceeds will benefit oyster recovery projects in the Chesapeake Bay. The giveback campaign directly aligns with restaurateur Jamie Leeds’ ongoing commitment to supporting oyster sustainability efforts in the region.
The Salty Wolfe Stout boasts a unique blend of flavors made with Hank’s Oyster Bar’s bestselling, proprietary oysters.
Denizens’ Head Brewer Jeff Ramirez describes the approachable brew, at 5.1-percent ABV, as having “deep notes of bittersweet chocolate, smooth roast and subtle dark cherry, laced with an underlying umami brine deriving from the 30 dozen freshly-shucked oysters used in the kettle.”
