December is right around the corner, which means it’s time for Big Hugs, Half Acre Beer’s Imperial Drinking Stout.
Year in and year out Half Acre Beer tweaks this beer according to their liking and work with the Dark Matter Coffee wizards on their most up to date extraction method. Half Acre Beer are now 11 years in on this beer.
Deeper than your average stout at 10% ABV and hit with high caliber coffee for an animated punch; Big Hugs remains balanced at a consumable level and you don’t have to share it unless you want to.
Joining the original Half Acre Beer will also release Vanilla Big Hugs, Bourbon Barrel Aged Big Hugs, and a limited amount of Vanilla Bourbon Barrel Aged Big Hugs.
The Whole Enchilada (Big Hugs’ presale option) goes live this Wednesday (tomorrow) at 10am and includes for the first time, a smaller option, the Taco Dinner. Details can be found at the link below.
The release, and a celebration of the glory of stouts in general will be at Half Acre Beer Balmoral brewery on Saturday, Dec 7th from 11am-5pm. Gathering together in December to drink caffeine-laced stout and talk about the edges on things is a part of closure on the year. Half Acre Beer appreciates your attendance and hopes to see you again this year, and next.
Half Acre Brewing releases Around The Table IPA tomorrow 11/27, at both Lincoln and Balmoral. This beer contains their first look at 2019 crop year Citra, alongside Sabro and Simcoe Cryo. Peach and juicy tropical fruit and 7% ABV, aimed directly at your holiday gathering.
The custom of being around the table for Thanksgiving is a true testament to the ritual of food & drink. The come one, come all spirit that comes with it can really push dynamics to the limit. Nuclear + extended family + choice locals and the potential for randoms = a complete cornucopia of world views. Line riding conversation, napping family members, blaring sportscasters, proximity intensity and a mounting buzz all swirled in a home blender of opportunity. Around The Table IPA is this holiday’s companion to get into it, explore and embrace your people and remember we’re all strange experiments looking to make the most of things.
Orin Bourbon Barrel Aged Strong Ale variants make their debut just in time for the holiday. These two are also available 11/27.
Cherry Cola-inspired Orin, brewed with rhubarb root and vanilla bean brings a true soda shop vibe. Herbal and earthy with vanilla creaminess and a botanical edge, reminiscent of fernet.
Thai Iced Tea-inspired Orin was brewed with black tea and cinnamon. Sweet and round with a holiday-appropriate level of spice, it’s a treat to consume.
Matching glassware available too, in limited quantities. Come through and establish a flavor adventure with your family and friends.
