Three Weavers Brewing Company announced today that they will host the first ever CANarchy Cup homebrew competition. The Grand Prize will go to the homebrewer who wins Best of Show within the selected competition categories (see guidelines), with medals awarded to the respective winners of each category. Entries can be hand-delivered or shipped to Three Weavers between June 8 and June 15 at 5pm.
The Grand Prize winner’s beer will be produced on a 30 barrel system at Three Weavers Brewery and entered into the Great American Beer Festival’s Pro-Am competition. The Best of Show beer will be celebrated in the Inglewood taproom with a kick-off party, followed by limited distribution through Stone Distributing Company on draft and in 16oz cans. The winner will also receive the stately CANarchy Cup trophy.
Three Weavers hopes the competition will encourage homebrewers to experiment with innovative flavors, while also strengthening the sense of camaraderie between local homebrewers and the professional brewers at Three Weavers Brewery.
Three Weavers’ Head Brewer, Alex Nowell, said, “We are proud to support the efforts of homebrewers by providing them with a platform to greater express their creativity to the public.”
Entry deadline for the CANarchy Cup Competition is 5pm on June 15 and cost of registration is only $7 per entry. Judging will take place on June 22 and the winners will be announced on Sunday, June 23, at Three Weavers 2nd Annual LA Beer Week Brewmo Pseudo Sumo Showdown. This competition is a BJCP certified homebrew competition. Entrants must be members of the American Homeowners Association. Click here to register today.
