Beer Review: Karl Strauss – Tangible Fruited IPA

Beer Review: Karl Strauss – Tangible Fruited IPA

Tangible Fruited IPA is loaded with C hops (Chinook, Cascade, Crystal, and Columbus to be exact) and Tangerine puree. Flavors of sweet, ripe citrus and notes of pine are balanced by lightly kilned caramel malts. This effervescent, pithy beer pours bright and golden, and finishes crisp and dry.

We analyzed a couple of cans of Tangible Fruited IPA and found the tangerine puree addition to be both strange at first and tasty. The puree adds more punch to existing tropical fruit notes from the hops. The hop blend also adds pine notes, which compliment and contrast the fruit flavors. This results in a smooth, creamy beer that is sure to delight fans of citrus flavors in their IPAs. We have to admit that the tangerine puree can be a shock if you didn’t know to expect it, haha.

Overall, we were impressed with aroma, flavor and mouthfeel. All add up to a delightfully easy to drink West Coast IPA that is refreshingly delicious. You are going to want a multi-pack of these.
