Sycamore Brewing Reveals New Packaging Design

Sycamore Brewing, an independently owned brewery in North Carolina, has announced a strategic change in its retail packaging portfolio. The brewery is introducing new carton sizes for its lineup of year-round brews, while also unveiling an exciting addition to its existing offerings.

Effective immediately, Sycamore Brewing will offer its year-round beers, including Mountain Candy and Beach Candy, in convenient 6- and 12-packs featuring 12-ounce cans. Southern Girl, Super Quench, and Double Candy will be available in 12-ounce 6-packs. This deliberate departure from the brand’s previous 16-ounce 4-pack format underscores its responsiveness to evolving consumer dynamics.

According to recent market insights, a staggering 73% of craft beers in the southern region are packaged in 12-ounce cans. By adopting this standard, Sycamore Brewing strategically positions itself to resonate with a broader audience while maintaining its commitment to innovation and quality.

Sarah Brigham, Co-owner of Sycamore Brewing, commented on this strategic shift, stating, “We’ve always valued creative thinking at Sycamore, but it’s essential to align our strategies with industry norms. As we strive to emerge as a dominant force in the Southeast’s craft beer scene, this decision underscores our dedication to meeting consumer expectations.”

Beyond catering to regional preferences, this packaging transition serves as a pivotal step towards expanding Sycamore’s footprint beyond state borders. Currently available in North Carolina and six additional states, the brewery aims to amplify its market reach by catering to retailer preferences, thereby increasing the likelihood of placement on shelves nationwide.

Moreover, Sycamore Brewing is delighted to introduce its signature brand, Mountain Candy, in a convenient 19.2-ounce can format. This expansion into the burgeoning single-serve beverage segment further exemplifies the brewery’s commitment to versatility and accessibility.

Our overarching goal is to enhance the craft beer experience for our customers, ensuring that our products are readily available and perfectly suited for any occasion,” Brigham added.

Craft beer loving humans (and aliens) eager to experience Sycamore Brewing’s refreshed offerings can anticipate encountering the new carton sizes in stores starting April 2024. This rollout reflects the brewery’s unwavering dedication to quality, innovation, and consumer satisfaction, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter in Sycamore Brewing’s history.
