WHAT: There is no sugar coating it, the times and quarantine are intense and are driving many into a bit of cabin fever. Thankfully though, Boomtown Brewery has perfected their in-house canning system and is hitting the gas, going full speed ahead with four fresh canned releases in just two weeks. Two are brand spanking new and two are returning cult classics.
This week, there is Blueberry Pie Gose, which has an ABV of 4.4%. It is a lactobacillus kettle sour with real blueberry puree that is blended with carrot blossom honey, jasmine flowers and Belgian yeast that will provide a tart, pie-crusty and irresistible blueberry experience. Next up, we have the returning classic red lager called Part Time Lover that clocks in with an ABV of 5.5%. It is light on the palate with a nice malty backbone and a dry hoppy finish.
For round two there will be Las Palmas, a West Coast Pale Ale with an ABV of 5.8% and generous additions of Cascade, Hallertau Blanc and Amarillo hops. The bitterness is a classic fresh pine with bright grassy notes, white grapes and a grapefruit aroma. Pilsen, Vienna and Crystal malts give this brew a balanced profile, leaving plenty of room for the hops to shine! The final brew returning to Boomtown is the Hazy IPA Cool Kids, which has an ABV of 7%. Cool Kids is brewed with Galaxy, Moteuka, 007 and Citra hops with juicy flavors of papaya, melon and strawberry (you’ll quickly understand why this one is an insider favorite.)
All of these beers are available in four packs to go, and can be picked up from Boomtown’s loading dock with pre-ordering online here.
