This Sunday, March 30, 2014, will be the last time we see Rick, Maggie, Glenn, Daryl and the walkers for a while.  It’s the final episode of season 4.  We can expect lots of action, possibly the death of some main characters, and of course, a cliffhanger to keep us around for season 5.  Some diehard Walking Dead fans may have parties for the season finale.  Some of those people are beer fans and will bring themed beer into the mix.
Here’s my suggestions on the beers you should drink for The Walking Dead season 4 finale.

Three Floyds Brewing Co. Zombie Dust

Three Floyds Brewing Company Zombie Dust

Zombie Dust is an infamous IPA from Three Floyds is legendary, especially where I am in San Diego, because Three Floyds do not distribute here.  I was fortunate enough to have some at the Pizza Port Real Ale Festival and it was fantastic! It’s a big gush of citra hops fresh from Washington.  It’s so fresh that you can when you take a sip, it’s as if you are a walker biting into the fresh blood of a human neck.  Recommended glassware IPA glass.

Ninkasi Brewing Company Dawn Of The Red

Ninkasi Brewing Company Dawn Of The Red

As the name implies, this is a red ale.  Ninkasi Dawn Of The Red is an imperial red ale that has some good floral hop flavor and aroma.  This is a seasonal red that can only be found between January and April.  I suggest you search for your bottle soon as April is just a week away. This one will give you lots of malt profile but a big puch of hops.  The color is a nice deep red that will make you crave human blood!

Clown Shoes Undead Party Crasher

This American Imperial Stout can be found in Southern California.  Their official description says it all:

In a world full of uncertainty, hardship, and people trying to hold us back, do we need the undead and trademark attorneys too? Clown Shoes says, “No, die, monsters, die!” Forces of darkness brought about a change in the name of this beer, which was released to celebrate our second anniversary, but it still sports signature dark malts, holy water, and malt smoked locally with hickory and ash.

Clown Shoes has built quite a reputation for quality beers.  Undead Party Crasher is available year around.

Tallgrass Brewing Co. Zombie Monkie

This “post-apocalyptic porter is available in the mid-west region of the US.  The description on the Tallgrass Brewing Website is enough to make me want to consume this on Sunday.

Zombie Monkie is a dark, rich porter, carefully brewed for the post-apocalyptic world to come. Crafted with lots of roasty dark chocolate and specialty malts, then inoculated with enough hops to add a floral/citrus character in the finish. It’s hardy, complex, and interesting, because you might be drinking it for a long time. Zombie Monkie…

If you are in the midwest area of the U.S. be sure to check out Tallgrass Brewing Co. Zombie Monkie.

Dock Street Brewing Co. Walker

Dock Street Brewing Co. Walker

We will end it with probably the most bizarre beer.  Dock Street Brewing Co. made a beer using roasted goat brains and cranberries.  Yes, roasted GOAT BRAINS! Walker is a rather strange sounding beer and I am not sure I would want to be one to try it.  Nonetheless, this is probably the most extreme of these zombie themed beers.  Fore more information on this creepy brew, check out the writeup at Cnet.
