I was very excited earlier this year when Sierra Nevada announced that they were collaborating with 12 other breweries to fill their Beer Camp 12 packs. This was HUGE news to me and to my knowledge something that has not been done. So, you can imagine my excitement when I got the news that a Beer Camp Beer Festival was planned for multiple stops nationwide. I was even more excited to see that San Diego was one of the stops! The breweries mentioned are top notch and not easily found in San Diego. This is a MUST for any craft beer enthusiast wanting to sample some of the hard to find beers from back east.

I was about to click the purchase link because there is no way I am missing this event when I paused…and thought “Wait, I better check my calendar.” Low and behold, I will be in Oregon at the Oregon 27th annual Brewfest that week. Damn and double damn. So for all of you lucky humans not travelling for work, I recommend you buy your ticket and start doing your research. This is a beer festival unlike any other in San Diego. Why? Read below!

Sierra Nevada has invited every brewery in the country to participate in one, multiple or all of the stops and hope to have 200 – 400 breweries respresented at each stop. That would be one amazing festival if even 200 were to show up. There will be food for purchase, as well, for you humans that need to eat. There are 7 stops in all, but really, the only one that matters to us is the San Diego stop. 🙂

Some of the breweries that you will WANT to try:
3 Floyds out of Munster, IN
Bell’s Brewery out of Kalamazoo, MI
Cigar City Brewing out of Tampa, FL
New Glarus Brewing out of New Glarus, WI

Tickets are $65 and you must be 21 to attend.

Be sure to follow us on Social Media as we invade more breweries and discover more awesome craft beers from all over the world! Cheers humans!
