Ora.TV and Page Productions announced today a new partnership for the exclusive digital release of Emmy-nominated television series “Beer Geeks,” available on the Ora.TV network beginning September 18th. Created by powerhouse production duo David Page and Roberta Brackman, best known for the Food Network hit Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, “Beer Geeks” has quickly become a culinary favorite for television viewers across America. The Emmy-nominated television series about the world of craft beer is joining the Ora.TV lineup with twenty-two full length episodes to be released.
“Beer Geeks” was created by Executive Producers David Page and Roberta Brackman and centers on Master Brewer Michael Ferguson, a pioneer and leading figure in the world of craft beer, who is also currently the Director of Brewery Operations for BJ’s Restaurants, Inc. “Beer Geeks” takes viewers on a vivid and entertaining road trip into the heart of the craft beer universe, exploring beer creation, and the wide range of remarkable characters who are full hearted beer enthusiasts and dedicate their lives to making the most distinctive beers in the world.
Each episode takes viewers on a culinary journey as they explore the varied techniques of creating unique beers, and the hunt for unusual ingredients like juniper berries in the Colorado Mountains and prickly pear cactus in the Texas Hill Country. “Beer Geeks” offers a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes of the best breweries in the world, highlighting master’s techniques such as barrel-aging beers, creating beers with fruit and spices, even using century’s old methods such as caramelizing beer over granite rocks heated to nearly a thousand degrees. Take a peek into the kitchen to cook with beer and to the dinner table to pair beer with food, a marriage that is perfectly harmonious with distinct flavors.

“Beer Geeks” was recently nominated for a 2014 Daytime Emmy Award, beating out a wide range of entries from long established programs in the culinary market. The full twenty-two episode series will air on Ora.TV beginning September 18th.
