OC Brew HoHo! Holiday Ale Festival Returns to Anaheim

Beer lovers unite on December 7 to sample craft brews while raising funds for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation

[Anaheim, CA] Creators of the OC Brew Ha Ha—named “OC’s Best Craft Beer Festival”—are back this holiday season with the second installment of the OC Brew HoHo! Holiday Ale Festival. The OC Brew HoHo! returns to the Anaheim Phoenix Club December 7, where beer aficionados and admirers  alike gather to sample the best in craft brews with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Orange County’s Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.

Beer lovers are invited to enjoy offerings from some of the regions finest breweries including Sierra Nevada, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Ballast Point Brewing and Spirits, Bootleggers Brewery, and Stone Brewing Company. Attendees can sample unlimited 3oz. tastes for four hours beginning at noon, choosing from a lineup of 30 breweries and 50 craft beers including limited releases, seasonal, first releases and holiday ales.

The holiday ale fest not only draws numerous local breweries, it also welcomes brands from beyond the borders of California. Maui Brewing Company based out of Lahaina, Hawaii, Goose Island Beer Company out of Chicago, Illinois, and Dogfish Head Craft Brews and Ales from Milton, Delaware are only a few of the national brands attending this year’s festivities.

The Brew HoHo!’s triumphant return to the spacious Phoenix Club grounds will be enhanced this year by music from DJ Richard Blade, presented by Slide Bar Rock ‘n Roll Kitchen. The music won’t be the only component raising the energy of the festival, activities like supreme Jenga, beanbag tosses, a beer drinking Santa and an indoor shooting range add to the flair of the event. Organizers promise to introduce at least one new game to the festivities this year, a tradition that’s become a staple of the Brew Ha Ha team.

The Brew HoHo! also offers great eats courtesy of The Phoenix Club’s onsite cuisine, delicious sweet treats from Brewcakes Dessert Gastropub and savory indulgences from Slater’s 50/50. The Great Food Truck Race competitors Devilicious will also be on hand, along with The Viking Truck, A Bite Truck, and The Slide Bar Rock ‘n Roll Kitchen. The festival also offers OC’s only Brewery Merchandise Expo. The exclusive expo provides a unique shopping experience perfect for creative, out of the ordinary holiday gifts including Golden State Cigars and the Drink-A-Palooza board game.

The second limited release Brew HoHo! Holiday Ale collaboration beer will come courtesy of Noble Ale Works, Beachwood Brewing and the Brew HaHa team. The Imperial stout is expected to be 9% ABV and brewed with coffee from Portola Coffee Lab, an English malt base, brown sugar, caramel malts, cinnamon and coffee. The collaboration will be available at Noble Ale Works Tasting Room in Anaheim and Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach in late November in preview of the Brew HoHo! festival.

With unprecedented tasting options, mouth watering culinary offerings, and a Brewery Merchandise Expo to fulfill shopping needs, the OC Brew HoHo! Holiday Ale Festival creates a jovial atmosphere in support of Pediatric Cancer Research.

I started drinking Craft Beer in 2009 for the great diversity and quality. I continue drinking it because of the great Craft Beer community.
