IMG_7386Avery Brewing Company from Boulder, CO is all about defying boundaries when it comes to their beer. Take their Old Perseverance, an Old Ale aged in Bourbon barrels with maple syrup and muscovado sugar added. This one-of-a-kind brew rings in at 18.5% ABV!

Well, Avery Brewing has done it again, made a beer that is so unique it’s unlikely you’ve had anything like it! This is another enticing sour ale that they are adding to their Barrel-Aged Series.

Their barrel-aging program is about experimentation, and they wanted to experiment with making our own version of a Tequila Sunrise cocktail. We know, dangerous, right? Traditionally this drink is made with tequila, OJ, & grenadine. They aged this beer for 6 months in fresh Suerte tequila barrels. By that time most of the cherries they added had fermented out, but what remained is the most Tequila-forward beer they’ve ever made!

“Sometimes you set off on a journey with a destination in mind, but you find what you were seeking many miles before” reads the label – Avery Brewing Co.

¡Qué delicioso! You’ll want to get your human hands on one of these brews before they’re gone. Think of it as Avery’s St. Patty’s day gift to you. Keep the party going, friends. Cheers!
Bottles available at the brewery on 3/20 starting at 11am. Limit 1 case per person. After the brewery release, Expletus will make its way around AZ, CA, CO, DC, IL, KS, KY, MA, MN, NC, NY, PA, TX, VA, and WA.
