Did you hear? New Belgium Brewing Company’s 2016 Clips Beer & Film Tour is now traveling from coast to coast in celebration of the brewery’s 25th anniversary all while raising money for local non-profits. The tour will journey to 16 cities, with three new additions to the list: Oakland, CA; St. Petersburg, FL; and Philadelphia, PA. The tour will kick off in Bloomington, IN on May 20th and conclude in Philly on October 21st. At each stop, the Clips Beer & Film Tour, which is a free event, will offer an evening of short films and some of New Belgium’s more hard-to-find selections. Since its inception in 2010, Clips has raised $659,000 for non-profit organizations, including more than $150,000 last year, from the proceeds of beer sales at the event.
“We have been working with many of our Clips partners for seven years and we are excited to celebrate New Belgium’s 25th anniversary with all of our non-profit friends across the country, along with everyone who comes out to enjoy a wonderful night of beers and films,” said Christie Catania, Clips national special events manager. “We will set up in great local parks, including a few new stops, to benefit some amazing beneficiaries. This year you can expect more games, new unique beers, and a film line-up only available at Clips. It is going to be a great year! Come out and play with us!”
Local beneficiary volunteers serve up the beer with close to 20 various New Belgium offerings on tap. It will be available in 3-oz samplers, 12-oz pours, or cans. Local food vendors will also be at the event.
As a promoter of environmental stewardship, New Belgium encourages attendees to think twice about throwing away trash to divert a significant amount of waste from filling landfills at each stop. Additionally, all event locations will have a bike valet, as encouragement for people to ride their bikes to the showings.
