Who loves Modern Times Humans?! Here comes a brew from their year round cans, so have no fear this little bit of awesomeness won’t be going anywhere soon! Blazing World is classified as a Hoppy Dank Amber and is nothing like we have tasted before! This beer has a little bit of everything and will appeal to both the amber lovers and IPA fanatics. In the words of Modern Times:
“This beer is the stickiest of the icky. It’s a luxuriously hoppy amber loaded up with intemperate quantities of Nelson, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops, which are some of the fruitiest, dankest hops sweet, sweet money can buy.”
So what are you waiting for?! Get out and grab one for yourself!
Appearance: Blazing World pours a pleasant amber color with a white head that compresses and leaves some lacing. The amber is a crisp clear color so that you are able to see the carbonation bubbles after it is poured.
Aroma: Despite its amber label, this brew has a very strong hop presence. Dry hop aroma mixed with malt.
Taste: This is really where the Blazing World comes into its own. Starts out with a strong hoppy flavor that transitions into a caramely malty goodness. Good balance between the two flavors, possibly a bit more on the IPA side but leaves the drinker with a nice splash of amber flavors. Not too bitter and a pleasant aftertaste that leaves you wanting more.
Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation suites it well as it is an IPA but also an amber. Starts off with a strong IPA flavor then transitions to a nice malty flavor.
Overall: Great take on a traditional amber. Different than anything we’ve tried. Has something for both amber and IPA lovers and has a nice smooth refreshing finish. Great beer to enjoy all year long.
