A San Diegan for 20 years, I am really enjoying the ever-growing craft beer scene here. I am a musician for 30+ years, a volunteer at the San Diego Humane Society, and recently graduated from San Diego State University-Professional Certificate in the Business of Craft Beer Program! I especially enjoy good beer styles while watching and sitting in with friends at local jam sessions, hanging out with my pets and shelter dogs, camping and now trying my hand at homebrewing. As someone who likes to try new things, being abducted by Beer Alien is an exciting adventure to many new opportunities! Cheers!

Greetings, earthlings! My name is Amanda, and I am a proud San Diego native who loves a good craft beer (or two). I graduated from California State University San Marcos in 2013 with my bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and currently reside in beautiful North County with my husband and pup. Through my “beerventures” to the ever bountiful breweries of southern CA, I’ve fallen in love with beers of all kinds, my current favorites being stouts and sours (YUM). While I’m not trying new beers or scouting new breweries, you can find me hiking, traveling to new countries and exploring new cultures, and just enjoying the California sunshine with friends and family. Cheers!

I’m grateful to have been born and raised here in sunny San Diego, the mecca of craft beer. My appreciation for the art of brewing began when my dad and I crafted our first home-brew IPA together. Since then I’ve enjoyed the adventure of trying all the different beers I possibly can, always searching for the next favorite. Furthermore, I am eager to share and catalog my discoveries along my beer-venture. In my free time, I enjoy backpacking and hiking outdoors, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, and playing videogames.

I am a San Diego native who has fallen in love with beer. Started drinking craft brews as soon as I turned 21, and now I love introducing people to new beers. Stouts and porters are my go to beers, but I will try any beer at least once. Lately I have been going to Stone at Liberty Station and have been on the hunt for beers that are good to age at home. While not trying new beers and breweries out I also am a writer for Movie Floss, a bit of a movie buff. I am also an avid gamer and comic book reader.

Be sure to follow us on Social Media as we invade more breweries and discover more awesome craft beers from all over the world! Cheers humans!
