The Lost Abbey have had quite a few rare, and expensive beer sales.  There’s Duck Duck Gooze, which is an incredible Belgian style sour ale.  There’s the Cable Car wild ale, that can only be purchased at Toronado in San Diego or San Francisco, if they even have it in stock.  Lastly, we have Veritas.  All of these releases are very limited and are about $40, per bottle.  Here’s a quote from LostAbbey.com describing this year’s version of Veritas:

Veritas 013 – American Sour with Peaches and Nectarines
The 13th edition of the Veritas series is an experiment using 3 separate strains of Brettanomyces, before honey, Peaches and Nectarines were added. The beer spent around 2 years total in French Oak barrels. Notes of fruits Peaches and Nectarines, oaky wood, brown sugar and Toasted Granola with Brett character throughout.

If this sounds like something you would like to add to your beer cellar, keep in mind that you can only purchase the bottles at LostAbbey.com on Friday, April 4, 2014 and you must pickup the bottles on Saturday, April 19, at the Lost Abbey brewery.  More information here.
