IBU: 37.8

The Voodoo comes to us from San Clemente based brewery Left Coast. Brewing since 2004, Left Coast has since won over 23 awards and now produces over 11,000 barrels a year. A part of their flagship line, the Voodoo is a rich and malty stout that is certain to get your taste buds watering!

Appearance: The Voodoo pours a dark opaque color with a big creamy head that does not dissipate. Leaves some small amount of lacing as you drink.

Aroma: Very rich malty flavor that is complemented with hints of chocolate and dark roasted coffee.

Taste: Toasted malty flavors combine with levels of chocolate and dark coffee. Brew is somewhat bitter but becomes less so as you drink. Solid stout flavor that goes down smooth.

Mouthfeel: Mild to medium levels of carbonation. Bitter at first but then finishes smooth with hints of roasted malt and chocolate.

Overall: This is a very solid stout from Left Coast. Porter and Stout enthusiasts will be happy with its level of flavor. Rich chocolate and coffee flavors that pair well together and go down smooth. Great beer to give a try!

PR / Marketing Intern

I am a sports fanatic, music lover, outdoor enthusiast and beer advocate born and raised in sunny San Diego, CA. While I am not out exploring San Diego’s craft beer scene, I can be found hanging out at the beach with friends or attending southern California’s many live music events. My passion for craft beer was inherited from my father while home brewing together in their garage. I continued to share his passion for craft beer with friends while attending college in Los Angeles, where I was able to explore the craft beer scene outside of San Diego. In the future, I hope to be involved in Marketing/ Event Planning for the craft beer industry so I can spread my love and passion for beer with the larger San Diego community. I am an avid sports fan and can be seen sharing a pint with other aliens at local Padre and Charger games!
