Cheers!

20160701_182210Appearance: The Lifted Embargo IPA pours a deep golden color with a small white head that settles nicely. Great carbonation level, can see the bubbles rising!

Aroma: Great hoppy aroma. Citrus and floral aromas with a malt backbone.

Taste: The Lifted Embargo is on the stronger side in terms of hoppy flavor. Rich hoppy flavor, citrus, and pineapple flavors with a kick of bitterness that is soothed slightly by a malt backbone. Bold flavors, not for the weak of heart but will be a fan favorite with those who can’t get their hands on enough IPA’s.

Mouthfeel: Medium to high level of carbonation, enough so that it leaves an impression on your palate. Strong hop presence that is balanced out somewhat by malt on the back end. Malty and hoppy aftertaste that leaves you wanting more.

Overall: Great West Coast IPA. Big, bold hoppy taste that has just the right amount if bitterness and malt to make an overall balanced brew. Those sensitive to hops might not be the biggest fan of this beer, but hop heads won’t be able to get enough. Great summertime IPA. Cheers!

PR / Marketing Intern

I am a sports fanatic, music lover, outdoor enthusiast and beer advocate born and raised in sunny San Diego, CA. While I am not out exploring San Diego’s craft beer scene, I can be found hanging out at the beach with friends or attending southern California’s many live music events. My passion for craft beer was inherited from my father while home brewing together in their garage. I continued to share his passion for craft beer with friends while attending college in Los Angeles, where I was able to explore the craft beer scene outside of San Diego. In the future, I hope to be involved in Marketing/ Event Planning for the craft beer industry so I can spread my love and passion for beer with the larger San Diego community. I am an avid sports fan and can be seen sharing a pint with other aliens at local Padre and Charger games!
